Independent Judges Praise Outstanding Calibre of Narromine Region Businesses

The inaugural Narromine Region Business Awards have uncovered an exceptional standard of businesses, with independent judges describing the quality of submissions as both inspiring and incredibly difficult to separate.

Following weeks of assessment, the judging panel—comprised of experienced business and economic development professionals Vicki Seccombe, Natalie Bramble and Kim Hauge — completed an independent review of every award submission.

To ensure the integrity of the awards, all entries were assessed independently by the three judges using a detailed scoring matrix aligned to the published judging criteria. The Narromine Region Business Awards Committee had no involvement in the judging process or the selection of finalists and winners.

The judges agreed the standard of submissions exceeded expectations, showcasing innovation, resilience, leadership, customer service, community contribution and a genuine passion for doing business in regional Australia.

"The calibre of businesses and business owners across the Narromine Region was outstanding," the judging panel said.

"Every submission told a unique story, and it quickly became clear there is an incredible depth of talent, innovation and commitment within this business community."

The high standard of entries resulted in several award categories featuring more finalists than originally anticipated, with only a handful of points separating many businesses.

"The scoring was incredibly close in several categories, making the judging process both rewarding and challenging. The finalists should be extremely proud of what they have achieved."

Narromine Region Business Awards Committee Chair Emma Barrett said the judges' feedback reinforced exactly why the awards were created.

"One of our key priorities was ensuring the awards were judged independently and fairly," Ms Barrett said.

"To hear three highly experienced judges speak so positively about the businesses in our region is something our entire community should be proud of.

"These awards are about much more than recognising winners—they're about celebrating the resilience, innovation and contribution of businesses that help our region prosper every day."

With more than 90 submissions, thousands of community votes and a completely sold-out awards night, the inaugural Narromine Region Business Awards have already exceeded expectations.

Winners will be announced at the sold-out gala presentation evening on Saturday 1 August at the Narromine USMC, where businesses from across the region will come together to celebrate excellence, innovation and community spirit.
